BIG Thank you to Christine's Crusade!!!

One of our long-term volunteers, Christine, decided to undertake her own fundraising initiative by knocking on doors in Erin to raise money for the UCHS. We want to say a BIG Thank you to Christine, as she raised over $1600 for the animals at the shelter. This was not an easy task and we want to congratulate Christine for taking on this fundraising campaign and being so successful. 

Buy Your Pup Pies for the Holidays now!

For sale at the UCHS Thrift Shop and Shelter. 

Flavours are Banana Nut Brownie, Peanut Butter Carob Chip, Deep Dish Pizza, Apple Pie and Pumpkin Carob Chip.  Natural ingredients, grain-free.  $9 includes HST, pre-pay by Dec. 10 for pickup at order location Dec. 15  They're about 5" across. 

Businesses can pay an extra $1 and the pup pies will be put in a gift bag with a festive tie and a message bearing the business' logo and whatever wording they want.

Dinner & Auction Fundraiser Due to Generosity of Local Sponsor

Friday, November 12th saw my husband and I participating in a Dinner/Silent
Auction Fundraiser held at The Club (formerly North Halton Golf &Country Club)
in Georgetown. This Fundraiser was made possible by the generosity of a local
Sponsor who wanted to have an event to raise money for the ongoing care and
rehoming of the residents of the Upper Credit Humane Society Shelter.

Bake Sale at the Thrift Shop

When: Saturday December 4th 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. 
Where: UCHS Thrift Shop, Moore Park Plaza

Yes we are having another bake sale so mark it on your calendar and join us at the store. If you enjoy baking we could use your help. We want to make this the best one yet so please consider donating your favourite baked goods. Donations may be dropped off anytime after 9am on the 4th or even Friday the 3rd prior to 5 pm provided they don't need refrigeration. Please list the ingredients and package your goods in containers you don't need returned. Whether you bake or not, drop in and pick up some treats for yourself and your family. You can stock up for Christmas by freezing suitable items until the holidays. All the money raised goes to care for the animals in our shelter.

Big Thank You to Darcey and Friends

2010 Bark Around The Park Walkathon!

Tag Sales

Thank you to the residents of Erin and Acton and LCBO for making our Tag Sales a successful day! We raised over $650 between the two locations and met many people who adopted animals from the UCHS. We hope to see many more at our Walkathon this coming weekend on Saturday September 25th.

UCHS Golf Tournament & Yoga in the Park

This year, Yoga in the Park, hosted by Staying Alive Fitness in Acton, raised $1600 and over 130 pounds of pet food for the shelter!! Thank you very much to Staying Alive Fitness and all participants, your support is greatly appreciated!

The first annual UCHS Golf Tournament on August 28th at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Georgetown was a great success--raising over $7,700 for the shelter! We had many great prizes, sponsors and golfers who made this day possible.

Time to start collecting those pledges..every dollar goes towards helping the animals!

July 2010 Wishbone Campaign

Thank you to all the businesses and individuals that participated in the UCHS’s Wishbone campaign which ran from July 1st to July 31st 2010!

A big thank you also goes out to all the volunteers who helped with cutting bones and ensuring the campaign ran smoothly!

Over $1400 was raised which will go towards caring for the animals at our shelter.
